I stayed at Esperanza for a few nights while exploring the area. The staff was friendly and attentive. The rooftop offered incredible views of the erupting Fuego volcano, especially at night. Each bed had its own electric outlet, which was convenient. The hostel's location was close to the big market and bus station. The value for the price was excellent, with good wifi and sturdy wooden bunk beds. The kitchen and dining space were great, and daily cleaning was thorough. Supporting the cause "I Am Home Guatemala" was a bonus. one of the best value hostels I've stayed in.

Great terrace with stunning views of a nearby volcano. The staff was friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips about the area. The location was ideal, close to a market and bus station, making it convenient for exploring the city.

The kitchen facilities were lacking, with only one stove and limited space for multiple people to cook. The cleanliness of the kitchen was also an issue, as guests didn't clean up after themselves and it seemed like the staff didn't clean regularly either.
